Thomas A. Lewis wrote a spectacular book entitled, “For King and Country – The Maturing of George Washington 1748-1760:  How Greatness Eluded an Ordinary Young Man of Modest Gifts and Uncommon Ambition.”  Our Historical Expeditionary talks to Mr. Lewis about young George Washington, and why this period of his life may well be his most interesting, if not (and it was definitely not!)  his most successful.
