Stark takes on Washington from a unique perspective, looking at the physicality of the young leader and demonstrating and how that physicality played into his character and his future.  When Stark writes about Washington’s youthful adventures, he is not merely quoting what he has learned from his diligent research, but combining it with the knowledge he has gained from his own adventures in hiking and kayaking.  In this fascinating discussion, Stark talks about young George Washington in an entertaining way that will make you wonder whether you ever really knew the Founding Father.
